Dennis C. Kettle Obituary
KETTLE, Dennis C – of Chesaning, died Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Covenant Medical Center in Saginaw. He was 72 years of age.
Dennis was born in Flint on November 21, 1950, a son of Judson and Dorothy (Innis) Kettle. Dennis had lived in Chesaning his entire life. He graduated from Chesaning Union High School in the Class of 1969. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, having served with the US Navy from 1969-1973 before receiving his Honorable Discharge. He was united in marriage to Nancy Mae Coonrod on May 1, 1976. She preceded him in death on October 18, 2019. Dennis had worked as a Clerk for the US Postal service, retiring in 1996. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #212 in Chesaning. He loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids.
Surviving are his children, Elizabeth (Kelly) Gaynor of Coopersville, Dennis Kettle, Jr. of Chesaning, April Parsons of Owosso, and Samantha Kettle of St. Charles; grandchildren, Stacy Kettle, Tyler Milburn, Seth Parsons, Zoie Parsons, Blair Miller and Bentlee Parsons; brother, Judd Kettle of Missouri; sister, Lisa (Fred) Birchmeier of New Lothrop; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family members and dear friends. He was also preceded in death a sister, Karen Trzil in 2015, and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at Noon Friday, January 6, 2023, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and then on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service at Noon. Inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Contributions given in memory of Dennis may be made to American Legion Post #212, Chesaning, or to his family.
