FULTON, Dean R. – of Chesaning, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Covenant Healthcare in Saginaw after a 2 year illness. He was 78 years of age. At the time of his death, his family was comforted by the sight of a rainbow.
Dean was born in Saginaw on February 17, 1948, a son of the late Earl and Blanche (VanLuven) Fulton. Dean had lived in the St. Charles and Chesaning area his entire life. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Conley on April 3, 1970. He was employed by General Motors, retiring in 2006.
Mr. Fulton was a proud UAW member. He volunteered at the St. Charles Haunted House for many years. In his spare time, he earned a black belt in Karate and taught the sport to others. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, especially with his brother, and looking at old cars. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Dean is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carolyn; their children, Melissa Green of Freeland and Kurt Fulton of Chesaning; two grandchildren, Zachary and Noah Green; a sister-in-law, Lela Chappell of Chesaning; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and 2 sisters.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning from 1-5pm. Contributions in his memory may be made to the family. The family extends a special thank you to the staffs of Covenant At Home and Covenant Hospital for their compassionate care of Dean.
