David Argumedo Obituary

ARGUMEDO, David G.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David G. Argumedo, aged 76, on November 11th, 2025.  He was a loving husband, a caring father, and an amazing grandfather who found beauty in everything.

Born in Saginaw, Michigan, he lived a life filled with kindness, compassion, and his own sense of humor.  He shared more than 54 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Lydia, whose love and partnership were the heart of his world. Together, they raised two children, Adina (Victor) Rabelo II and David (Tatyana) Argumedo, who gifted him with five grandchildren, Amiliana, Ashalon, Maximilian, Kahlina and Sophia; special Godchild, Cindy Castillo. He was so proud of them all.

As a young child, he was a migrant worker alongside his siblings where he learned his strong work ethic and family values, he graduated from Carrollton High School and started work at General Motors but went on to serve in the US Army his full term in Korea as a head chef during the Vietnam war. Upon returning home, he resumed his job at General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 2, where he retired in the year 2000 after 32 years. He was a member of the UAW.

Dave had an extraordinary love for animals and birds.  He found peace in tending to his plants and flowers, nurturing life in all its forms, and teaching those around him to appreciate the quiet miracles of nature.

He will be remembered for his humor, his unwavering patience with children, and the compassion he extended to everyone he met.  He especially loved spending time with family, friends and neighbors. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the gardens he grew, the lives he touched.

He has two living brothers: Jaime Argumedo and Angel (Rick) Argumedo.
His mother and father that passed before him: mother, Petra Argumedo, father Guillermo Argumedo. Brothers and sisters who passed before him: Alicia Argumedo, Guillermo Argumedo, Benjamin Argumedo, Gilbert Argumedo, Alfonso Argumedo, Almicar Argumedo, Amparo Garza, Amelia Lopez, Adelia Mendez, and Francisco Argumedo,
