THIEL, Daniel Lee – of Oakley died June 2, 2024, at his home. He was 39 years of age.
Daniel was born in Saginaw on January 25, 1985, a son of Edward L. and Colleen J. (Lamrouex) Thiel. He had lived in Chesaning all his life and attended Chesaning Union High School. He was united in marriage to Monica Konsdorf on April 16, 2021.
Daniel was a self-employed contractor and owned Thiel’s Custom Building. He was a hard-working man and loved his work. He could fix almost anything and he was willing to help anyone at any time. He had assisted at Weigold’s Nursery. Daniel loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mud bogging. When time allowed, he would go to the casino and ride his motorcycle. He also assisted his grandfather by helping as his caregiver. Daniel loved his family, especially his kids.
He is survived by his loving children, Daniel L. Thiel II, Chloe Mae Thiel, Anthony Edward Thiel, and Alexander Michael Thiel, all of Ovid; his parents, Edward and Colleen Thiel of Oakley; wife, Monica Thiel of Chesaning; his siblings, Edward (Connie) Thiel of Chesaning, Brandi Thiel of Chesaning, and Andrew Thiel of Bowling Green, Ohio; his fur baby, Tommy; three nieces and a nephew who he loved very much; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an aunt, and an uncle.
A visitation will be held Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning.
