Daniel L. Shuster Obituary

Daniel L. Shuster, age 76, of Summerfield, Florida passed away June 6, 2023, at Ted & Diane Brandley House, Summerfield, Florida. He was the husband of Kathleen Shuster for over 52 years.
 
Daniel was born February 2nd, 1947, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of the late Lyle and Edith (Graham) Shuster. He grew up in Oakley Michigan and went to Chesaning Union High School graduating in 1965. He received his Bachelor of Sciences from Michigan Tech, his MBA from Western Michigan University and he was a Certified Public Accountant.
 
Mr. Shuster served in the US Army in Vietnam 1970 and was awarded the Bronze Star. He loved God, his family and country. Dan was a humble man with a sense of humor. He did everything with honesty and integrity. After he retired from a corporate career in Michigan, he moved to Florida where he enjoyed golfing, travel, and volunteering including St. Theresa’s Soup Kitchen where he was known for making the best soup!
 
Daniel is survived by his wife, Kathleen Ann Shuster; daughter, Kristen Shuster of Chicago; son, Jeffrey (Heather) Shuster of Cadillac Michigan; and granddaughters, Abbygail and Allyson Shuster.
 
The family received friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 5946 SE Robinson Road, Belleview, FL 34429 on Monday, June 12, 2023.  His Funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview, FL.  Interment with military funeral honors will be 1:00 PM Friday, June 23, 2023, at Resurrection Cemetery, 11000 Ferden Road in Chesaning, MI with Fr. Raj Bandaru officiating.  Condolences may be left at Hiers-Baxley.com.

Cemetery Details:
 
Resurrection Cemetery is located at 11000 Ferden Road, Chesaning, Michigan.  It is west and immediately adjacent to Wildwood Cemetery, which is located at the intersection of  Sharon and Ferden Roads.  The cemetery is south of Chesaning.
 
Directions from the traffic light in the Chesaning:  (NOTE: There is road construction on Front Street inside the village limits of Chesaning.  One must take the detour through the village.)
  1)  Turn south onto Front Street.  Go two blocks to Church Street.
  2)  Turn right onto Church Street and go two blocks to Line Street.
  3)  Turn left onto Line Street.  Stay on Line Street until it ends at Peet Road.
  4)  Turn left onto Peet Road, which ends at Front Street/Sharon Road.
  5)  Turn right onto Front Street/Sharon Road.  You will travel approximately one mile.  Ferden Road goes to the right.  There is old mausoleum at intersection of Sharon Road and Ferden Road.
  6)  Turn right onto Ferden Road.  The first cemetery on the right is Wildwood Cemetery.  Resurrection Cemetery is a smaller cemetery and immediately adjacent to it on the right.
