Colleen Joy Thiel Obituary
Colleen Joy Thiel of Chesaning died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso. She was 59 years of age.
Colleen was born in Fort Riley, Kansas on August 4, 1964, a daughter of Donald D. and Janet A. (Moore) Lamrouex. Growing up as a child of an US Army soldier, Colleen had lived in many different places, such as Ohio and Germany, before moving back to Michigan to stay. The Chesaning and Oakley area finally became the family’s home, and she attended Chesaning Union Schools. She was united in marriage to Edward L. Thiel in Saginaw on July 10, 1981.
Mrs. Thiel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She adored her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching the news and crime shows, crocheting, going to the casino, and playing on her computer.
Colleen is survived by her beloved husband of over 42 years, Ed; her children, Edward (Connie) Thiel of Chesaning, Brandi Thiel of Chesaning, and Andrew Thiel of Bowling Green, Ohio; eight grandchildren whom she adored very much; her siblings, Donald (Pam) Lamrouex Jr. of Owosso, Guy Lamrouex and Terry Lamrouex, both of Florida, and Tonya (Gale) Moore of Oakley; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother-in-law, Harry Thiel; and a son, Daniel Lee Thiel on June 2, 2024.
Private services will be held. Her burial will be in Brant Twp. Cemetery.
