KLIGAR, Charles R. – of Chesaning died Sunday afternoon, February 23, 2025, at the Chesaning Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 93 years of age.
Charles was born in Saginaw County on July 18, 1931, a son of the late John and Rose (Hezina) Kligar. Charles proudly served in Korea with the US Army. He served from July of 1952 through April of 1954 and was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Sargent. He was united in marriage to Lorraine M. (Perkins) Bliss on February 26, 1977. She preceded him in death on September 20, 2005.
Charles had worked as a Tool & Die Maker at Midland-Ross Corporation in Owosso for many years before they closed. After the closure of Midland-Ross, Charles worked and then retired from Hehr International in Chesaning. When he was not working, he enjoyed his time going hunting, fishing, and gardening.
Charles is survived by his children, Dennis (Donna) Kligar of Chesaning and Lori Vazbeck of Arizona; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 28 years, Lorraine; a son, David A. Kligar; a grandson, Daniel Yazbeck; and all of his siblings, Jean (Carl) Zajdlik, John (Doreen) Kligar, Frank (Mary Lou) Kligar, Chesaning; Joe (Margaret) Kligar, Rosie Mills, and Vera (Lawrence) Schulte.
