Charles "Chuck" Richard Nietling Obituary

NIETLING - Charles “Chuck” Richard – of Chesaning, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, with his loving wife and their family by his side.  Chuck was born on September 17, 1942, in Owosso, Michigan. After graduating from Our Lady High School in 1960, he served with the Michigan National Guard and the Army Reserves. He worked over 30 years at Chevy Manufacturing (Chevy in the hole).

He met the love of his life, Margaret Kuchar, in 1959. Their big adventures started with raising seven children in the Our Lady neighborhood that included the Greenfelder, Selleck, Uehlein, Alden and Hemgesberg families. After retiring with over 30 years at GM, the adventures continued, including traveling to each of the 48 contiguous states, Mexico and Canada, finally snow-birding to their second home in North Port, Florida. Chuck loved his family, playing games, watching grandkids sporting events were a highlight and fixing anything that needed to be fixed especially for his daughters.  The Nietling’s were members of St Peter/Our Lady parish in Chesaning and St. Max in North Port, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret, six daughters and one son.
