MATRAU, Charles E. – of Brant Twp., died peacefully at his home, Thursday, August 28, 2025. He was 66 years of age.
Charles was born March 27, 1959, in Elsie MI to the late Gordon and Doris (Owen) Matrau. He was a resident of Goshen, IN most of his life. Charles was married to Gail Ann Prather in 1977, 1988 and most recently in 1996. Mr. Matrau was a mechanic for a long time and then placed modular homes for G & M Modular Home in Hemlock for many years. He belonged to several Jeep clubs in the Silver Lake, MI area, enjoyed going on drives through the countryside looking for deer then stopping at the Brant Bar to have Chili, a burger, a cola and play pool.
Surviving are; children: Tony (Ashley) Matrau of Rockwall, TX, Todd (Jessica) Matrau of Goshen, IN, Tanya (Diamond) Williams of Goshen, IN, Jacob (Trisha) Humphry of St Charles; grandchildren: Calye, Graciela, Tyler, Nathan, Skyla, Chloe, Brandon, Addalyn, Alaina, Ashtin, Kylie, Katie, Kennedi, Brodie, Gracie, Emilie and Rudie; great-grandchildren: Deliah and Christopher. He was one of 8 boys and one girl in his family.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
