Betsy Elizabeth Waswick Obituary
Betsy Elizabeth Waswick of Chesaning died Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Pleasant View Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility of Owosso. She was 77 years of age.
Betsy was born August 18, 1943 in Midland Township to the late George and Georgia (Drayton) Carman and was a lifelong resident of Chesaning. She was united in marriage to Nicholas Waswick on March 5, 1960. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2007. Betsy loved playing bingo, cooking for big family gatherings and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: children: Daryl Waswick of Montrose, Brian Waswick of St. Charles, Sharon (Tom) Wenzlick of Chesaning, Dennis (Donna) Waswick of Chesaning; son-in-law Daniel Carson Sr. of St. Charles; grandchildren: Melonie (Dave), Danny, Lindsey (Jeremy), Jeremy, Pat (Erica), Charles (Danielle), Eric, Gabriela and Abbie; great grandchildren: Samantha, Mason, Simon, KellyAnn, Nicholas and Marlena; sister, Lavina Frasier of Owosso; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. She was also preceded in death by: son, Nicholas Jr; daughter, Carol Carson; ten brothers and sisters: June Carman, Blanche Carman, Betty Tessman, Harriett Albring, Bob Carman, Ethel Arndt, Burt Carman, John Carman, Vern Carman and Don Carman.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Pastor Lu Wanda Gordon officiating. Burial to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until time of services at 3 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Following Covid-19 guidelines, masks must be worn, and social distancing practiced at the funeral home. Currently funeral homes are limited to 25 people.
