GENGLER, Bernard W. – of Montrose, age 75, died Friday, December 2, 2022, at his residence.
Bernard was born October 7, 1947, in Owosso to the late Thomas and Rosemary (Sutter) Gengler. He was a graduate of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. He was a truck driver for McDonald Dairy, then retired from R&D Septic as a Waste Management Hauler. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, tinkering in his garden and shed, family gatherings and card parties.
Surviving are: children: Scott (Christine) Gengler of Las Cruces, NM, Heidi (Raymon) Birchmeier of New Lothrop, Margaret (David) Cramblet of Montrose; son-in-law, Les (Lynn) Chrysler of Grand Blanc; grandchildren: Nicholas Gengler and Diego Herrera, both of Las Cruces, NM, Lane, Ondrea, and Lacy Birchmeier, all of New Lothrop, MI, Sammy Chrysler of Grand Blanc, Jimmy (Katie) Chrysler of Fremont; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Lilianna, and Leslie James Chrysler; siblings: Elaine Gengler, Suzanne Cramer, Lynette Shackelford, Cindy (Brent) Crownover, Penny (Robert) Chant, Joy (Robert) Kukulis, and Dennis (Deborah) Gengler; many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by: a daughter, Tammy Chrysler; and brothers-in-law, Calvin Shackelford and Morgan Cramer.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Deacon Al Wright officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of services that day. Contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
