Barbara l. Vogelaar Obituary
VOGELAAR, Barbara L. – of Chesaning, died Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Comfort Care Assisted Living in Chesaning. She was 88 years of age.
Barbara was born October 25, 1933 in Saginaw to the late James and Nora (Boswell) Toskey. She was raised in St. Charles and has lived in Chesaning since 1953. She was united in marriage to Johannes Vogelaar on July 19, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2016. Mrs. Vogelaar was employed for Hehr Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Parish. Barbara enjoyed playing bingo, being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and going to the cabin in St. Helen.
Surviving are: children: Christine (Tom) Novak, David Vogelaar and John Vogelaar, all of Chesaning; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Hafner of St. Charles; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: son, James Vogelaar on October 22, 1991; siblings: James Toskey, Arlene Newman, Shirley Cowman, Helen Zlomack, and Mary Lou Maxa.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Final inurnment will be in Wildwood Cemetery at a later date.
