Barbara J. Kukulis Obituary
KUKULIS, Barbara J. – of Chesaning, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at The Oaks at Byron Center. She was 79 years of age.
Barbara was born in Saginaw on April 19, 1942, to the late Steve and Catherine (Bolf) Hornak. She was united in marriage to Ernest Kukulis on April 22, 1961. Mrs. Kukulis was employed at Montrose Nursing Home for several years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed being with her family, gardening, baking, and bickering with Ernie.
Surviving are: husband, Ernie; children: Kathy Haney, Chuck Kukulis and Doug Kukulis, all of the Grand Rapids area; grandchildren: Krystal Haney, Steven (Megan) Kukulis, Kegan Kukulis and Kassandra Kukulis; 1 great grandchild on the way; brother, Tony Hornak of Burt; sister-in-law, Bernice Hornak of Burt; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Hornak on August 18, 2021, and a daughter-in-law, Julie Kukulis on March 22, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Pastor Paul Tessmer officiating. Burial in Wildwood Cemetery and a meal to follow. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until time of services at 12:30 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
