Our Lord Jesus took Art home to Heaven on Friday, May 25, 2018. He was 76 years of age. Cremation has taken place.   There will be no services.

 

Arthur was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on December 6, 1941, the son of the late Charles and Nellie (Didier) McInnis.  Arthur graduated from the Royal Oak High School in the Class of 1960.  He continued his education by attending Bob Jones University and Michigan State University.  He was united in marriage to Joanie L. Acton on May 4, 1963.

 

Arthur was the owner of the former Chesaning Argus Newspaper from 1970 through 1985.  He started AM Graphics and ran the business from his home. Art was founder and member of Village Baptist Church and recently attended New Lothrop Nazarene Church. He was a Past President of the Montrose Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Chesaning Chamber of Commerce. He loved his garden and was looking forward to his strawberry harvest. Over the years he and Joanie enjoyed collecting antiques and spending time with the family.

 

Those left to cherish his memory include: his beloved wife of 55 years, Joanie; daughter, Heidi (Dale) Hersch of Oakley; son-in-law, John Morence of Owosso; five grandchildren: Zachary Hersch, Nikki Hersch, Cameron Morence, Caleb Morence and Cassidy Morence; sister, Yvonne King of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Sylvia McInnis of Downers Grove, IL; nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Traci Morence on January 12, 2016; brother, Donald McInnis; brothers-in-law, Rev. Irving Philgreen, Rev. Kenneth Wells and Dale King.
