Passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday evening, July 23, 2017 at age 83. He was born on May 23,1934, in Berlin, Germany. Wolfgang was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked in Quality Control for McDonald Dairy, Chesaning.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Elizabeth (Willacker) Franke; his three daughters, Sylvia (Alan) Maike of Oakley, Patricia (David) Dreyer of Oregon, and Monica (Gilbert) Silva of Cheboygan; his three step-children, Deb Hemgesberg of Atlanta, Michigan, Amy Hemgesberg of Pleasant Lake, Michigan, and Ron Hemgesberg of Oakley; eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and his sister, Karin of Germany.
Wolfgang requested cremation with no services.
Charitable donations may be given in memory of Wolfgang to the Alzheimer's Association.
