Passed away early Friday morning, October 21, 2016, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. She was 90 years old. Theresa’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Bernice Vogelaar will officiate. Burial will follow at the Wildwood Cemetery of Chesaning Twp. Mrs. Koepplinger’s family will be present at the funeral home to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of the service.
Theresa was born in Chesaning on January 10, 1926. She was the daughter of Charles and Frances (Ruff) Coonrod. Theresa married John A. Koepplinger on April 12, 1947, at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Chesaning. They were married for over 50 years before he passed away on August 14, 1997. Theresa was a homemaker and worked on the family’s farm. For a short time, she had also worked at some small shops in Owosso. Her favorite hobbies were putting puzzles together and watching birds.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Dennis (Judy) Koepplinger of Brant, Diane (LeRoy) Hafner of St. Charles, and Bonnie (Scott) Lorencz of Farwell; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; her sister, Helen Gassar of Chesaning; her brother, Charles Coonrod Jr. of Gaylord; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. Those who have passed away before her include her parents, two brothers, and a sister.
Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home for those wishing to make charitable donations in remembrance of Theresa.
