Theresa DeJesus Castillo

CASTILLO, Theresa DeJesus – of Ithaca, age 68, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Ashley Care Center.

Theresa was born August 10, 1949 in Saginaw, MI to the late Gomecindo “Joe” and Concha (Meza) Castillo. She was a resident of Saginaw most of her life but also resided in Merrill and Ithaca. Theresa was a graduate of St. Andrews in Saginaw and earned her Associates Degree from Delta College. She was a guidance counselor for several years at Bridgeport High School. Theresa was a member of the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption in Saginaw. Theresa enjoyed watching Investigation Discovery, the Hallmark channel, Minions and Twilight movies.

Surviving are: daughter, Concepcion McAskill of Ithaca; granddaughter, Alexandra McAskill, grandson, Brian Joseph McAskill; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Castillo; a brother, Henry Castillo Sr.; and a niece, Jessica Ann Castillo.

Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Contributions in her memory may be made to the family.
