Passed away early Thursday morning, November 17, 2016, at the Ingham County Medical Care Facility in Okemos. She was 95 years old. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Chesaning Twp. Teresa’s family will be present at the funeral home to welcome friends from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of the funeral service.
Teresa was born in Chesaning on February 24, 1921. She was the daughter of Clarence J. and Annie B. (Foreman) Brainerd. Teresa graduated from Chesaning High School. She married James McGraw in Chesaning and he preceded her in death in 1964. In 1969, she married James Graham and he preceded her in death in 1991. Teresa was a homemaker and also had worked at AC Spark Plug, Chesaning Credit Union, Neu Rich Jewelers, and the Chesaning Chamber of Commerce. She had been a member of the Chesaning V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Those left to cherish Teresa’s memory include her son, James (Patricia) McGraw of East Lansing; a step-daughter, Hope (Graham) LeGalley of Mt. Morris; two grandchildren, Eldon (Jenny) McGraw of Lansing and John (Diane) McGraw of East Lansing; two great-grandchildren, Dalton and Erin McGraw; three step-great-grandchildren, Jasmine Williams, Becca Spurbeck and David Spurbeck; and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. Those who have passed before her include her two husbands, James McGraw and James Graham; her parents; her two brothers, Alvin J. (Edith) Brainerd and Clarence J. Brainerd; and her two sisters, Annie (Jack) Sheperd and Nila Burch.
