Shirley L. Lewis of Oakley, age 68, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at her residence. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services are planned.

Shirley was born in Almont, MI on March 12, 1950 to the late Louis and Lillian (Spens) Hintz. She was a resident of Oakley for the past 40 years. Shirley was united in marriage to Brian Lewis on April 24, 1971. Mrs. Lewis was a bus driver for Chesaning Union Schools for 20 years. She enjoyed woodworking, traveling, mapping trips, sewing, hunting and being with her grandchildren.

Surviving are: husband, Brian; daughters: Stephanie (Brett) Genereux of Hubbardston, MI, Stacie (Bobby) Hernandez of Hartland, MI; grandchildren: Ty Genereux, Kobe Genereux, Jack Hernandez and Alex Hernandez; sisters: Elaine (John) Stapleton of Romeo, Nancy Brinker of Imlay City; sister-in-law, Sharlene Hintz of Elmira; mother-in-law, Donna Lewis of Tawas; many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Louis Hintz Jr. also preceded her in death.
