Phillip W. Harris of Henderson, age 62, passed away early Monday morning, June 3, 2019, at his home. He was born in Durand on February 4, 1957, the son of the late Willard S. and Vella B. (Garrison) Harris. Phillip graduated from Chesaning Union High School in the Class of 1975. He was united in marriage to Kelley L. Signor in Lansing on September 24, 1994. They had lived in Grand Rapids before moving to Henderson. They would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this September.
Phillip was a carpenter and owned his own business. He loved to build, and he was good at it. He just celebrated 25 years of being a born again Christian on December 22, 2018. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and yardwork.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Kelley; their two sons, Phillip and wife Carrie Harris of Owosso and Abraham Harris of Henderson; two grandchildren, Nevaeh and Mariah; brother David and wife Delilah Harris of Tennessee, brother Wayne and wife Edith Harris of Tennessee, sister Judy and husband Dennis Koepplinger of Brant, brother Steven and Jackie Harris of St. Charles, brother Leslie Harris of Lennon, and brother Charlie and wife Nita Harris of St. Charles; his mother-in-law Judi Signor; sister-in-law Deborah Signor; brother-in-law Robert Signor; sister-in-law Dawn Weaver, numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Phillip’s Life will be held from 1-8 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the family home at 1800 West Henderson Road, Henderson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
