Passed away Tuesday evening December 16, 2014 at Hospice House of Mid Michigan, Lansing. Age 49 years. Visitation will take place on Thursday December 18, 2014 at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Chesaning at 10 a.m. The family will be at the church to meet and greet with friends starting at 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will take place at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Chesaning Twp., by his parents.
Mike was born Jan.23,1965 in Saginaw. His parents were Larry and Betty (Kopschitz) Devota. They have both passed away. Mike was a member of Class of 1983 at Chesaning High School. He also graduated from Ferris State. He had been employed at Spartan Motors, Charlotte.
Mike is survived by his wife Maureen (Eddy) Devota. Their children Taylor and Shane. His 2 brothers: Steve (Patty) Devota, Chesaning. Rob (Teri) Devota, Byron. Grandmother Lucile Kopschitz, Saginaw. Mother in law and father in law: Anne and Bill Eddy, Portland. Brother in law: Sean Eddy, Portland. His nieces and nephews: Sam, Charlie, Jacie, Jordan and Jaydn. His nephew Jacob has passed away.
