Mary Lu Wenzlick Obituary
WENZLICK, Mary Lu (Fuoss) – of Chesaning, died Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Union Court of Chesaning. She was 86 years of age.
Mary Lu was born November 9, 1932 in Thawville, IL to the late Henry and Minnie (Studt) Fuoss and was a resident of the Chesaning and Oakley areas her entire life. She was united in marriage to James Wenzlick on February 11, 1956. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2009. Mrs. Wenzlick was a bus driver for Chesaning Union Schools for over 25 years. She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Mary Lu enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, cooking and baking, sewing and being with her grandchildren.
Surviving are: children: Becky (Dave) Meyer of Chesaning, Dan (Julie) Wenzlick of Owosso, Lisa (Scott) Dudley of Commerce Twp., Joe (Mary Jo) Wenzlick of Lapeer; grandchildren: Jill (Adam) Yurgens, Steve (Kristi) Meyer, Jennifer (Brandon) Charbonneau, Craig Dudley, Erika Dudley, James Wenzlick, Jacob Wenzlick and David Wenzlick; great granddaughter, Makayla Yurgens; brother, Russ Fuoss of Oakley; sister, Margaret Bates of St. Charles; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: brothers: Art, Don, Loran, Richard, Stanley and Henry; and a sister, Freda Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Legion Chesaning Post #212, CAER or Meals on Wheels. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
