Marie E. Wrocklage Obituary
Marie E. Wrocklage of Maple Grove Twp., age 97, passed away late Monday evening, June 18, 2018, surrounded in love at her home. She was born in Maple Grove Twp. on June 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline (Birchmeier) Wendling. Marie was united in marriage to Carl M. Wrocklage on August 4, 1945.
Marie was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was an active lifetime member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove. In 2016, Marie was the recipient of the Bishop Murphy Award for her lifetime service in the St. Michael Religious Education and SPRED programs.
Those who will cherish her memory include her children, Lori (Joe) Kruska of Saginaw, Ed (Maria) Wrocklage of Chesaning, Bernie (Laura) Wrocklage of Plymouth, Rose Wrocklage of Denver, CO, Theresa (Aaron) Schmidt of Dallas, TX, Jim (Lisa) Wrocklage of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Carla (Bob) Lunder of New York, NY: her grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, Kelly, Scot, Jeremy, Bethany, Matthew, Allegra, Alex, Connor, Ben, Ava and Greta; great-grandchildren, Sumer, Hugo, Darek, Radek, Henry, Violet, Lily, Logan, Jamia, Yafi, Eli, Lydia, Campbell, Jake and Hannah; great-great-grandson, Chase; many nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends. She was also preceded in death by: her husband, Carl Wrocklage on October 13, 1997; her daughter, Sharon Wrocklage on July 1, 2016; and eight brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, at the St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove. Fr. John Cotter will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Maple Grove. Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. A Vigil for the Deceased will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Her family will be present at the church to greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of the Mass.
