Larry S. Gotham

GOTHAM, Larry S. – of Chesaning, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his residence. He was 74 years of age. 

Larry was born January 30, 1945 in Saginaw to the late John W.S. and Ruby (Cooley) Gotham and was a lifelong resident of the Chesaning area. He was united in marriage to Sally Nixon on April 8, 1967 in Chesaning. Mr. Gotham retired from Buick in 2000 with 35 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #599. He enjoyed shopping at Kroger Stores, camping, playing casino games on his iPad and especially the family dinners every Sunday.

Surviving are: his wife, Sally; children: Kelly (James) Spannagel, Stacy Gotham (companion Don Ostrander), Brian (Candace) Gotham, all of Chesaning; grandchildren: Zachary Smewing, Lauren Gotham, Hannah Spannagel, Jarrett Gotham and Joshua Gotham; fur child, Oreo; siblings: Garry (Darlene) Gotham, Ray Gotham and Diane (Gordon) Busch; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by siblings and spouses: Merlin (Millie) Gotham, Ronnie (Joyce) Gotham, Dennis Gotham, Della (Orlie) Wilson, Dorthy (George) Deaton and infant Marvin Gotham.

Pastor John James will officiate the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 1-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made to the family.
