Kenneth Richard “Kenny” Gemalsky Obituary
Kenneth Richard “Kenny” Gemalsky of Chesaning, age 47, passed away Wednesday morning, October 16, 2019 at Sparrow Hospital of Lansing.
Kenny was born July 2, 1972 in Lansing, son of Kenneth O. and Rita A. (Bappert) Gemalsky. Kenny graduated from Lansing Catholic High School in the Class of 1991. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Michigan-Flint in 2008. He was united in marriage to Holli M. Hemgesberg on June 1, 2002. They had lived in Owosso before moving to Chesaning five years ago.
Kenny was a teacher for Corunna Public Schools. He attended the New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed baseball games and watching his girls play sports.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Holli; their adored daughters, Kiara and Makenna; his parents, Kenneth and Rita Gemalsky of Lansing; his parents-in-law, Jerry and Jean Hemgesberg of Chesaning; his brother, Brian (Gina) Gemalsky of Adrian; his sister, Kimberly Gemalsky of Lansing; sister-in-law, Brenda (Kevin) Kieffer of Chesaning; brother-in-law, Jeremy Hemgesberg of New Lothrop; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Kristie Hemgesberg.
Pastor Paul Brashaw will officiate at Kenny’s memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene, 7406 S. Saginaw Street, New Lothrop. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning and then at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service.
