Janice Kulhanek Obituary
KULHANEK, Janice K. – of Brady Twp., died Friday, May 17, 2019, at her residence. She was 78 years of age.
Janice was born November 28, 1940, in Alma, MI, the daughter of the late Toval and Wylo (Richardson) Moore. Janice resided in the Chesaning area most of her life. She graduated from Chesaning Union High School in the Class of 1958. She was united in marriage to Roger Kulhanek on August 1, 1959.
Mrs. Kulhanek worked as a Nurse’s Aide at St. Francis Rest Home for 15 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Albee and was active in many of the church’s functions. She enjoyed ceramics, Bingo, and gardening.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of over 59 years, Roger; their four children, Jeffrey (Kim) Kulhanek of Chesaning, Russell Kulhanek of Fredric, Kristine (Dave) Hart of Elsie, and Matthew (Andrea) Kulhanek of Davison; eight grandchildren, Lindsey, Chelsea, Cody, Tracy, Britany, Denver, Marleigh, Ethan, and Issac; five great-grandchildren; four siblings, Dennis (Sharon) Moore of Chesaning, Randy Moore of St. Charles, Colleen Green of Ovid, and David (Jenny) White of Chesaning; two sisters-in-law, Marie Moore of Nebraska and Pat White of Chesaning; nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Floyd White; a brother, Larry Moore; a step-brother, Lawrence White; and a granddaughter, Kelsie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Albee Twp. celebrated by Fr. John Cotter. Rite of Committal to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Sunday from 2-8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
