James R. Moser of Brant, age 68, passed away Friday afternoon, April 12, 2019, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw. He was born in Saginaw on July 13, 1950, a son of the late James R. and Maxine A. (Schmidt) Moser. J.R. as he was sometimes called, was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw. He was a proud US Veteran, having served as an Army truck driver in South Korea during the Vietnam War era.
J.R. worked as an auto mechanic and was a jack of all trades. He liked working on old tractors and helping with the animals on the farm. He enjoyed traveling to and around the local communities.
Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Jerry (Sandy) Moser and Sally Moser, all of Saginaw, and August (Tina) Moser, Robert (Theresa) Moser, and Richard Moser, all of Florida; special friends, Ron and Diane Sholtz of Brant; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. J.R. was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Moser; and a sister, Julie Moser.
Honoring James’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service with military honors will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Oakwood Cemetery, 6100 Gratiot Road, Saginaw, MI.
