George L. Brenner of Brady Twp., age 81, died Friday, June 29, 2018 at Ashley Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the Chesaning First Church of the Nazarene, 625 W. Broad Street, Chesaning. Pastor John Paulus and Pastor John James will co-officiate. Inurnment with military funeral honors will follow at Ridge Road Cemetery. His family will be present at the church Saturday, July 28 to greet relatives and friends from Noon until time of the service at 1:00 p.m.

George was born September 26, 1936 in Brant Twp. to Robert and Doris (Smith) Brenner. He was a lifelong resident of Brady Township and was a graduate of Chesaning High School. George served in the US Army from 1960 to 1964. He was united in marriage to Janet E. Banghart at Calvary Baptist Church in Owosso on October 16, 1971. Mr. Brenner worked for Roycraft MFG in Chesaning until it closed, then worked at various other jobs. George enjoyed walking, tinkering with small engines and visiting with neighbors.
Surviving are his wife, Janet; children, Jeremy Brenner of Oakley, Renee Sicard of Chesaning, Jonothan Brenner of Chesaning, Robin Brenner of Saginaw; one grandson, Joshua Sicard of Chesaning; sisters, Beverly Brenner of Oakley, Carol Cermak of Oakley, Peggy (Paul) Davis of Corunna; niece, Stephanie Cermak-Chludil of St. Charles; many great-nieces and great-nephews; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Robert and Doris Brenner; nephew, Joseph Cermak; and a niece, Debbie Steck.
