Passed away early Thursday morning, September 28, 2017, age 84, at MediLodge of Montrose. She was born in Maple Rapids, MI on March 28, 1933, the daughter of Geraldine (Ludwick) and Clarence Bennett. Edith graduated from Fulton High School in the Class of 1952. She married Milton Marble on March 29, 1953. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2008.
Edith and Milton were active members of the Flint Banjo Club and Potpourri Band. She worked as a Nurses’ Aide at the Chesaning Rest Home. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, reading, music, and jigsaw puzzles.
Those left to cherish Edith’s memory include her daughter, Elizabeth Merz, and son, Steven Marble, both of Chesaning, and her son, Nicholas and wife Angie Marble of Burt; her grandchildren, Hugh, Mason, and Laura; her great-grandchildren, Sean and Emma; her sisters, Dorothy and husband Gerry Bashore and Mary and husband Jack Babcock; her best friend, Elmira Meseraull; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; other loving family and friends; and her loving cat, Mittens. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Jean, Patricia, and Diana, and a brother, Robert.
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2017, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Immediately after the Memorial Gathering, family and friends will gather at Edith’s family home for a funeral luncheon.
