Passed away Tuesday morning, February 14, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Pastor John Miller will officiate. Graveside services with final military honors will follow at the Ridge Road Cemetery in Brady Twp. Donald’s family will be present at the funeral home to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of the funeral service.
Donald was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 22, 1937. He was the son of Carl and Maude (McClain) Robertson. Donald married Joyce C. South on March 4, 1959. She was his loving wife, companion, and hunting partner. Joyce passed away before him on September 20, 2014. Donald was an U.S. Army Veteran. He had worked for the Grand Trunk Western and the Canadian Northern Railroads. He worked as a Brakeman and a Switch Operator and later retired as a Conductor.
Those left to cherish his memory are his five loving children, Tim W. and wife Ramona Robertson, Tom E. and wife Lenna Robertson, Tony W. Robertson, Troy E. Robertson, Tonya and husband Ross Frammalino; fifteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Berwyn and wife Inge Robertson and Robert Robertson; nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends. Those who have passed away before him include his parents; his beloved wife, Joyce; and six siblings.
