David H. Forsyth of Chesaning, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at his home. Cremation is to take place. A Celebration of David’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1629 W. Brady Road (M-57), Chesaning. Rev. Timothy S. Woycik will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. His family will be present at the church Tuesday to welcome relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
David was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 5, 1960, a son of the late Dr. Henry T. and Hettie R. (O’Dell) Forsyth. David graduated from Chesaning High School and continued his education, achieving his goal of a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University. He taught High School English and coached Girls Volleyball at Chesaning High School.
Those left to cherish his life include his sisters, Dawn Forsyth of Kalkaska, Patricia L. Stevenson of Frankenmuth, and Kimberly Forsyth of New York; his brothers, Dr. Douglas (Brenda) Forsyth of Chesaning and Stuart (Susan) Forsyth of Tampa, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Charitable donations can be given in memory of David to the Chesaning High School Volleyball Program.
