Passed away early Palm Sunday morning, April 9, 2017. He was 74 years old. Tom was born September 23, 1942, in Flint. His parents were Wilfred and Eloise (Dunbar) Rowe. Tom was a proud Veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1962 to 1966.
Tom worked at AC Spark Plug as a toolmaker. He also had a degree in social work from the University of Michigan-Flint. Tom was very active in the Chesaning Community. He was a member of the Chesaning Rotary and the Chesaning Kiwanis, an umpire for Chesaning Baseball, and served on the Chesaning Task Force.
Tom is survived by his wife, Nancy (Garrett) Rowe; his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher (Kelly) Rowe of Corunna; his grandchildren, Blake and Marissa Rowe; his sister, Roberta Rowe of Florida; and other loving family and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Madelyn.
Tom has been cremated. His visitation will be at The Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning on Wednesday, April 12 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday April 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at The Trinity United Methodist Church, 1629 W. Brady Road (M-57), Chesaning. Pastor Tim Woycik will officiate. Military honors will follow the memorial service. Tom’s family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to the Chesaning Rotary, the Chesaning Kiwanis, or the Chesaning Library in memory of Tom.
