Taylor James Bishop

Of St. Charles

Age 27, died as a result of a motorcycle accident in Lansing, Michigan on Monday, July 3, 2017.  He was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 7, 1989, the son of Daniel and SueAnn (Taylor) Bishop.  Taylor was working at Sonoco Protective Solutions in Owosso.  He recently joined the Knights of Columbus.

Taylor had a big heart, fun personality, and loved to joke around.  He loved electronics and gadgets, flavored beers, humorous t-shirts, and his motorcycle.  He loved to record his rides on his GoPro and post them to YouTube under “foodpoisoning”.  He also had a strong sense of right and wrong, and stood up for himself and others that he felt were being treated unjustly.  He wasn’t afraid to put anybody in their place, and usually in the format of a smile or a “Hey!”, “You know”, “Really?”, “Come on”, or “That’s just wrong”.  Taylor was an organ donor and continues to help others.

Taylor was a strong, big guy with a big heart.  When helping at home, he could move mountains of wood as if they were toothpicks.  He recently moved back home at his parents’ request to help out at home.  We are so thankful for the last seven months.  He is leaving us with a gaping hole.

Taylor is survived by his parents, Dan and Sue; his brothers, Terry and Travis (and girlfriend Katherine Hafner); grandfathers, Dan Taylor and Vic Bishop; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; his amazing network of friends; and his longtime childhood friends, Kyle, Ricky, Joey, Jeff, and Steven.  Taylor was preceded in death by both of his grandmothers, Geri Taylor and Jackie Bishop.

A memorial visitation for Taylor will be from Noon until 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.  A Time for Sharing of Memories will be that evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:00 p.m.

If you would like to do something in honor of Taylor, view his YouTube videos and continue to post on his Facebook.  He enjoyed seeing the Likes, Shares, and the Views.  He would also want you do something kind for someone.

Taylor’s family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of visits, calls, Facebook postings, etc.  It has helped them, as they keep trying to figure out what happened and to keep moving forward in what is best for Taylor and his legacy.
