Patricia Lou Henige, age 78, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Covenant HealthCare with her family by her side.

 

Patricia was born in Freeland, MI, on June 6, 1937, to the late Anna (Pasek) and Louis Rau. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1956, and married Wilfred S. Henige on October 29, 1960.

 

Patricia was a member of St. Michael of Maple Grove Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking and spent many years working as a day cook at Heritage House in Chesaning. She loved to travel, shop, garden, sew and spend time with her family and friends.

 

Along with her loving husband of 55 years, Wilfred, she leaves behind her children, Mitchell (Markita) Henige of New Lothrop; Marianne Jones of Royal Oak; Erin (Keith) Neff of Onondaga; and Jonathan (Chrissy) Henige of New Lothrop; and her 7 grandchildren, Marissa Jones; Kyle, Stephanie and Caleb Neff; and Nolan, Quin and Colton Henige. She also is survived by her sisters, Karen Mudgett and Maxine (Dale) Hensler; brother and sister in-laws, Rosemary (Don) Emmendorfer; Viola Panks; Bernard (Bonnie) Henige; Dorothy Henige and Sarah Henige; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-laws, Sr. Viola Marie Henige and Magdaline (Joseph) Ott; brothers-in-law; Harold (Rosemary) Henige, Laverne Henige, Maurice Henige, Jim Mudgett, and Tom Panks.

 

Patricia’s visitation will be held 2-8 pm Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.  Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am Monday, May 23, 2016, at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove.  Patricia’s family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10 am Monday until time of the mass.
