Passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon, July 20, 2017, at her home at age 83. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church, 404 S. Wood Street, Chesaning. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, Chesaning. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m. and a Wake Service at 7:30 p.m. that night at the funeral home. Her family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of the Mass.
Patricia was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on July 16, 1934, the daughter of Thomas and Theresa (Dowd) Kirby. Patricia graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield, Massachusetts and from business school in Saginaw. She married Carlos Uribe at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Chesaning on April 27, 1990. She was a retired production worker from Saginaw Steering Gear. Patricia had taught Catachism and belonged to St. Mary's Albee Altar Society.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 27 years, Carlos; her children, Kathleen (Gordon) Comer of Dade City, Florida, Colleen Rosso of Hanover, Pennsylvania, Annette (Jeri) Good of Elsie, Robert (Rebecca) Larkin of Syracuse, Indiana, Janine (Robert) Freier of Birch Run, and Linda (Jim) Freeland of Richland; her stepchildren, Vicki and Greg Mocklin of Memphis, Tennessee, Kathy and Michael Runner of Roseville, California, Elena Gross of Chesaning, Kirsten Prather of Tennessee, and Amy and Chris Strong of Chicago, Illinois; her numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren and her 15 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Susan (Jerry) Baker of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Theresa Kirby; son-in-law, John Rosso, Sr.; a step-grandson, Robert Gross III; and her brother, Tom Kirby.
Charitable donations may be given in memory of Patricia to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Diabetes Association.
