Passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015, at the Chesaning Nursing Care Center at the age of 93. Her visitation and funeral service will both be Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Misiuk Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of her funeral service at Noon. Rev. Herb Wheelock will officiate. Burial will follow at Ford Cemetery in Bannister.
Louise was born in Elsie, Michigan on July 24, 1922, the daughter of Paul and Sarah (Hurrle) Dingler. She married Asa I. Griffus in Chapin. Louise was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting and crafts, knitting, making quilts and afghans, and cooking.
Mrs. Griffus is survived by her four children, Marvin Griffus of Livonia, Duane Griffus of Charlevoix, Paulette and her husband Larry Zubek of Redford, Ralph and his wife Myra Griffus of Charlotte; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda and her husband Malcom Portice of Henderson, Sheila and her husband Seth Cummings of Clarkston; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Asa in 1982; a son, Alvin; and two sisters, Florence Hnilica and Martha Spindler.
