Oh Ma Gewirtz, as many from my generation called you, how we will miss you! This past summer I took a friend to the cottage with me. Johnnie and I were headed up from the boathouse and stopped at the 2nd green cottage to see if Lisa and her Mom were there, they were. As Lisa and I talked, Ma Gewirtz and my friend Johnnie, were talking like they were old friends in no time. I could hear parts of their conversation. They were talking about losing loved ones. Before we parted, Ma Gewirtz said to me, "She's really smart! I love her and she loves me too!" My friend Johnnie is an amazing woman herself. It would be difficult not to love her if you ever met her. But even if she weren't, Ma Gewirtz would have loved her just the same. Because that's who she truly is. Ma Gewirtz IS LOVE! I have known her for many years as my family also has a special place at "Her Crystal". I see her sweet face when recalling memories that extend over so many years. "Your Crystal" will never be the same. But I vow to try very hard to show the kind of love you showed to others over so many years! I will always love you Ma Gewirtz!

I will now see her smile in the rays of sun shining through the trees, hear her in the calls of all the waterfowl, especially the loon, feel her embrace in the depth of our lake, and sense her presence around the tables filled with loving family and friends or where we read devotions, , for she truly appreciated and made these things more meaningful than anyone else

Dear Lisa, Kelly, Lori, Scott, Tammy and Andy,

I am not able to make it to the funeral home, so I wanted to send my sympathy. You have been in my prayers. It's obvious that God placed a tremendous amount of love into your Mom's heart, and she shared it freely with everybody. I remember talking to her at a blood drive, and she shared the story of her meeting your dad.
She certainly was a special lady.

Love,
Bob

It is with great sadness that I heard of Linda's passing. It has been many years, since I had contact with Linda, but I will never forget what a wonderful friend she had been to me. She was so full of life, so positive, so kind & caring, so generous with her time & talents... a model Christian and mother!

Lisa, Kelly, Lori, Scott, Tami, Andy and all of your spouses, children & grandchildren, Your Mom will be keeping a special eye on each of you because that's the way Linda was... there for everyone! You will all be in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. May your precious memories of the special bonds you shared with your Mom, and the knowledge that she was truly one SPECIAL LADY help you through your journey of healing from this loss.

Larry & Gewirtz "children" please accept my sincere condolences.

God Bless All of You!
With Fond Memories,
Kathy Misze

Andy, Tammy and your entire family and to Linda's extended families: Linda is one of the OLPH moms that I remember with fondness. She was always friendly, happy, and lucky for us - she enjoyed having her kids' friends around. She greeted me in later years with such joy that I would go somewhere just hoping to run into her. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this time. She will be a mom to remember with a smile.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Linda was such a remarkable lady! She had so much love and joy in her. My boys (John and Chad), adored her and her family. She took such good care of them while I was at work and gave them as much love and attention as if they were her own. We were so lucky to have a part of her life. Thank you Linda and God bless. Love, Patty

Linda was certainly one of a kind....and kind she was. I'll always remember that she bought my baby buggy - and I had a hard time parting with it - but she hugged me tight and said it'd be put to good use at her cottage. What a sweet, sweet lady...she took such good care of the Our Lady kids and they loved her right back. My sympathies to the entire family and friends.

Larry, Gewirtz and Gower Families-
Sending hugs across the miles. I don't think of Crystal Lake without Linda's name running through my mind. Bowling, card games, serving church dinners, a cup of coffee, loads of love and laughter will be the memories she has left behind in not only mine but I' m sure the hearts of everyone she met.

You are in my thoughts and prayers as you celebrate her life

We, as did you, believe that there are angels among us here on earth. What you never knew was that you were one of those Angels. We know the Lord called you Home because your job here on earth was finished, but your job in Heaven has just begun. Our hearts broke when you left us, yet you will remain in our hearts forever. We love you dear Sister, we always will, and know that we see each other again one day.
