It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of our sister, friend and aunt, Kristin Mary Greenfelder, who passed peacefully October 21, 2017, at Union Court Assisted Living Home.
Kristin's beautiful soul is no longer weighed down by earthly struggles of her artistic mind. Known by many, the world over, for her eclectic lifestyle and generous spirit, her 46 years were filled with more adventures than those blessed with twice as many years. Having traveled extensively, usually on a whim, Kris had a tendency to "collect" people. From her childhood until her passing she was known to surround herself with people who needed help, love, or respect. She gave herself to every friendship, new and old with the same amount of attention.
A graduate of Chesaning High School and Central Michigan University, her quest for knowledge and understanding never stopped and she never stopped trying to impart whatever beauty she could find in the world to all those around her.
Kristin was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and LuAnn Greenfelder. Left to mourn her loss are her siblings, Susan, Patrick (Katie), Kent (Laura), Dennis (Tracy), Michael, Joe (Lisa), and Ann; 17 nieces and nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; childhood friends, new friends and everyone who met her.
Kristin’s family will be present on Thursday October 26, 2017, at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm to welcome friends. Immediately following at 8:00 pm, family and friends will meet at the Riverfront Bar and Grill for a Celebration of Life. Memorial contributions may be made to The Kristin Greenfelder Art Scholarship at Chesaning High School.
While her life was full of personal struggles, she found light and joy in every person she met. The world is a better place because she was in it. She left us on a day that she would have described as perfect. The trees were in full color, the sun was shining and light breeze rustled the leaves. We hope that when you experience a day like that, in the future, you look around, remember her beautiful soul and appreciate all of the blessings we have in life.
