Passed away Thursday afternoon, October 20, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years old. Kathleen’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016, at the St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove, 17994 Lincoln Road, New Lothrop. Fr. John Cotter will officiate. Burial will follow at the St. Michael Cemetery in Maple Grove. Visitation for Mrs. Ducham will be from 1:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Kathleen’s family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Monday until time of the Mass.
Kathleen was born in Maple Grove on October 2, 1928. She was the daughter of Fred and Lena (Gross) Weisenberger. Kathleen graduated from St. Michael High School in Maple Grove. She married Robert “Glen" Ducham and he passed away on May 20, 2006. Mrs. Ducham taught in the S.P.R.E.D. program and was a Religious Education Teacher at St. Michael in Maple Grove. Her grandchildren were her life and she had a way of making everyone feel so special and loved.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Daniel Ducham of Lennon, David Ducham of Spring Lake, Jean (Donald) Cooper of Chesaning, Brian (Rebecca) Ducham of Montrose, and Laura “Lori” (Robert) Hobson of New Lothrop; her beloved eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marlene Weisenberger of Maple Grove, and many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home for those wishing to make charitable donations in remembrance of Kathleen.
