Passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso.  Age 89.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Owosso.  Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Owosso.  Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Misiuk Funeral Home, Chesaning.  A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Prayers before Holy Mass will start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Joseph was born in Venice Township on November 21, 1925, the son of Joseph and Charlotte (Keeley) Kildea.  He married Mildred Gewirtz on October 11, 1952.  They were blessed with six children.  Mildred preceded him in death in 2001.  Joseph retired from GM, having worked as a Spot Welder

 

Mr. Kildea is survived by his children, Darlene Kildea-Pahl, Ann Marie Rygiel (Steven L. Rygiel), James Kildea (Beth Himes-Kildea), Shirley Bocek (Ted Bocek); grandchildren, Jeremy Kildea, Jason Kildea, Kristin Donajkowski, Steven J. Rygiel, Erin Dunny, Trisha Martin, Dustin Himes, Ashley Bocek, Valerie Bocek; sister-in-law, Pauline Gasper; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; two sons, Darl and Thomas; three brothers and a twin sister.  Donations may be made out to the Shiawassee County Council on Aging, Memorial Healthcare Hospice, and St. Paul's Catholic Church of Owosso.
