Passed away Saturday morning, June 25, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was 83 years old. His funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2016, at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove. Burial with military funeral honors will follow at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery of Maple Grove. Visitation will be held from 1:00-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Fireman funeral honors and a walk-through will be 7:00 pm. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Knights of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. His family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of the mass.
Harry was born November 10, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Joseph and Audrey (Pelletier) Kulhanek. He graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School. He married Patricia Yaklin on October 13, 1956. They were married for over 57 years before she passed away on September 13, 2014.
Harry was a GM retiree. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He retired from the Maple Grove Twp. Fire Department. Harry enjoyed golf and loved to travel. He had a great sense of humor
Those left to cherish his memory include his five children, Pamela and Kenneth James, Chris and Janet (Dougherty) Kulhanek, Randall Kulhanek, Mary Jo and Ken Wisneski, and Jill Kulhanek; nine grandchildren, Joshua James, John James, Justin James, Jeffrey James, Trevor Kulhanek, Torin Kulhanek, Alanna Kulhanek, Jonah Wisneski, and Aaron Wisneski; six great-grandchildren, Gaven James, Kyera James, Whitney James, Dylon James, Bella James, and Finnley James; his sister, Elaine (Mike) O’Hare of Chesaning; two sisters-in-law, Sally and Alice; and many nieces and nephews. Those who have passed away before include his parents; his beloved wife, Patricia; and three brothers, Joseph, Tom, and Edward.
