Of Chesaning, Michigan

 

Passed away early Saturday morning, August 20, 2016, at the Ashley Care Center, Age 93.  Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1629 West Brady Road (M-57), Chesaning.  Rev. Timothy Woycik will officiate.  Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery of Chesaning Twp.  Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 pm Thursday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.  Her family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10:00 am Friday until time of the funeral service.

 

Georgia was born in Brant, Michigan on August 17, 1923, the daughter of Norman and Nancy Edith (McFarlane) Allen.  Georgia was married to Basil Coon.  He passed away on January 26, 2010.  Georgia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gary Coon of Arizona, Janet (Joe) Stopjik of Chesaning, Wayne (Peggy) Coon of Flushing, and Sheryl (David) Tims of Florida; and her beloved 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

 

Charitable donations given in memory of Georgia may be made to the Ashley Care Center or the Trinity United Methodist Church.  Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
