After a courageous battle with cancer, Fran went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, September 22, 2016.  She was 77 years old.

Fran was born on April 7, 1939.  She was one of sixteen children born to Harold and Caroline Schneider.  Fran married LaVern Gross on June 22, 1957 and she was a wonderful and loyal wife for 59 blessed years.  She was a loving mother to her seven children, Joseph Gross, Denise (Jim) Meyer, Kathy (Julius) Lorencz, Eileen (Joe) Lopez (both deceased), Barb (Bob) Davis, Kenneth Gross, and Mark Gross.

Fran volunteered her time at the Knights of Columbus Hall.  She loved to do crafts, gardening, and helping others.  Most of all, she loved to spend time with her 17 grandchildren, Nicholas Lorencz, Christina Bukovick, Brent Lorencz, Michael Meyer, Stacy Newman, Angela Lopez, Justin Meyer, Jessica Gross, Randy Davis, Joseph Davis, Cheree Gross, Crystal Gross, Taylor Lorencz, Zachary Davis, Lauren Gross, Avery Gross, and Tabatha Gross; and also her 13 great-grandchildren.

When you lose a loved one, you gain an angel whose name you know.  Fran will forever live in our hearts and memories.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2016, at St. Peter Parish Catholic Church, 404 South Wood Street, Chesaning.  Fr. William Gruden will officiate.  Cremation will follow the Mass.  Visitation for Fran will be from 1:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.  A Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.  Fran’s family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of the Mass.
