Passed away Wednesday morning, June 22, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.  She was 49 years old.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service for Cami will be held 11:00 am Monday, June 27, 2016, at the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1123 W. Walnut Street, St. Charles.  Pastor Jason Baldwin will officiate.  Her family will be present at the church to welcome friends from 10:00 am Monday until time of the service.

 

Cami was born in Owosso, Michigan on April 8, 1967, the daughter of Shirlee A. (Stopjik) Sulen and Marvin L. Sulen.  She graduated from Chesaning High School in 1985.  She attended and graduated from Central Michigan University in the Class of 1990, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree.  She worked as a Computer Programmer for the State of Michigan.  Cami was a member of the Hearing Loss Association of America-Michigan State Association.  She was also a member of a few photography clubs.  She enjoyed painting, lighthouses, and music, especially playing the guitar and piano and learning to play the fiddle.  Cami was a member of the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Charles.  For many years, she was a volunteer at the Special Olympics Summer and Winter games, helping those with special needs.

 

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Shirlee Sulen of Oakley; her sister, Ami and husband Jeff Fitzgerald of Lennon and North Carolina and their two sons, Connor and Tristan; her brother, Marvin John and wife Jamie Sulen of New Lothrop and their four children, Remington, Mia, Griffin, and Mason; her father, Marvin L. Sulen of Chesaning; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
