Avis M. Hosner of Albee Twp., age 93, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Covenant Medical Center Harrison in Saginaw. Her funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Her son-in-law, Pastor Dan Lamb, will officiate. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Albee Twp. Mrs. Hosner’s family will be present at the funeral home to greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service.
Avis was born in Cadillac on June 24, 1924, the daughter of Horace and Edna (Reed) Greeley. Avis was the first of her family to graduate from high school. She married Archie Hosner on October 19, 1944, in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1997. Mrs. Hosner had attended Fosters Bible Baptist Church. She loved her family, kids, animals, and nature and she enjoyed being outdoors.
Mrs. Hosner is survived by her children, Richard and Diana Hosner of Kentucky, Jon and Mary Ann Hosner of Chesaning, David Hosner of Montrose, Sugie “Avis” and Dan Lamb of Ohio, Susan Conklin (Mark Milkowski) of Montrose; 12 grandsons and four granddaughters; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Richard Greeley of Evart; a sister, Beatrice Koschmider of Cadillac; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Eddie and Rickie Hosner.
