Passed away Tuesday evening February 9, 2016, at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso at age 76.  Mrs. Smith has been cremated.  Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Charles.  Pastor Jason Baldwin will officiate.  Arlene's final resting place will be at the Oakwood Cemetery in Saginaw.   Her family will be present at the church to greet friends from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of the service.

 

Arlene was born in Owosso, Michigan on December 29, 1939, the daughter of Eldon A. and Hazel Bell (Oliver) Terry.  Arlene married Alvin Smith on March 3, 1972.  She had worked as a waitress at the former Ross’ Restaurant of Chesaning. 

 

Left to mourn her loss are her husband, Alvin; three step-children, Jennifer Taylor of Birch Run, Vicki Mills of Saginaw, and Timothy (and his wife Debbie) Smith of Denver, Colorado; two grandchildren; brother, Eldon (and his wife Pat) Terry of Chesaning; and sister, Carol Terry of Chesaning.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Gene Taylor.
