Anna (Danek) Gall

Of Chesaning, formerly of the Easton area

Passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017, at age 102 at the Chesaning Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 1629 Brady Road (M-57), Chesaning with Pastor Tim Woycik officiating.  Burial will follow at West Haven Cemetery, Owosso.  Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.  Her family will also be present at the church to welcome friends from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of the service.

Anna was born in Owosso on May 4, 1915, the daughter of Steve and Barbara (Frolka) Danek.  Anna married John Gall on May 22, 1937. They were married  for over 40 years before he passed away on April 23, 1978.

Anna was a loving wife and aunt.  She was a wonderful Czech cook and very proud of her heritage.  She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and growing pretty flowers.  She was also an avid Detroit Tiger fan.  Anna was a lifetime member of the CSA Central Star Lodge #411 and a longtime member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory include her many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.  Anna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Gall; her parents; and all of her siblings, Martin Danek, Joe Danek, Mary Danek Yanko, Frank Danek, Josephine Danek Petrosky, Tony Danek, and Carl Danek.

Charitable donations can be made in memory of Anna to Trinity United Methodist Church, the Chesaning Sr. Center Young of Heart Club, the CSA Scholarship Fund, or the activity fund at Chesaning Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Center.
