Basil C. Coon

Chesaning, Michigan.

Passed away Tuesday morning, Jan.26, 2010 at his home. Age 88. He was born Jan. 1, 1922 in Brady Twp. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.ll in the Pacific. He had managed grain elevators in Chesaning, Henderson and Alicia. He is survived by his wife Georgia (Allen). His children: Gary (Norene) Coon, Arizona. Janet (Joe) Stopjik, Chesaning.  Wayne (Peggy) Coon, Flushing. Sheryl George (David Tims), Florida.  11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.  3 brothers have passed away. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, Jan.30, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Chesaning. Rev. Mark G. Johnston will officiate with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 12 noon until 8:00 pm and at the church on Saturday starting at 10:00 am. Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, Chesaning.
