Leon W. Dormer, Sr.

Chesaning/ Formerly of Lansing.

Passed away Friday morning Jan.15, 2010 at Covenant  Cooper, Saginaw. Age 92. He was born in Okemos, Mich. He had worked for GM/Lansing, Plant #2. He was skilled trades as a millwright, Local 1618. He also was a committee man. He was an avid bowler. He bowled a 300 game at the age of 75. His first wife Leah Rose Dormer passed away in 1986. He is survived by his wife Maxine. His children: Patricia Smith, Indiana.  Leon Jr. (Elizabeth) Dormer, Lansing. Terry ( Blendina) Dormer, Holt.  Sue (George) Figel, Ionia.  2 step children: Ron (Mary) Best, California. Steven (Marg) Martin, Penn.   26 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.  Those who have passed away include his son William Dormer, son in law: John Smith, 2 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.   Funeral Tuesday Jan 19 at 11:00 am at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Chesaning. Visiting on Monday, Jan 18 from 1-7 at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning.. Private burial in East Lansing. Memorials to Zion Lutheran, Chesaning.
